At the end of the World Rapid 2021, four players tied at the top with 9.5/13. They were Abdusattorov, Nepo, Carlsen and Caruana. The rules said that the first two with the highest tiebreak would play a blitz (3+2) match of 2 games against each other. And so Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Ian Nepomniachtchi sat down against each other. The 1st game of the tiebreak ended in a draw, and this is the game 2.
