Levy Rozman @GothamChess on his road to GM and winning the New York event with 8.0/9

Levy Rozman is the biggest Chess YouTuber in the world with over 5 million subscribers. He is trying to do something truly special – he is aiming to become a GM. His rating back a month was 2322 and now he has pumped it up to 2370. He played an amazing tournament in Spain and missed his GM norm by a whisker and now in New York, he played at the 1000GM 2024 IM invitational 2024 and he performed at an Elo of 2581 scoring 8.0/9. In this interview IM Sagar Shah tries to understand Levy’s thinking about the road to GM journey as they go over the critical moments in his games.

(4/4) On another note I could do with some tips on how to get a good sleep. It seems like I am a fully fledged insomniac. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
I was in bed at 1am last night but didn't even manage to get 1 minutes sleep after tossing and turning all night. Been awake for about 40 hours now. 😱

(3/4) I missed one very likely obvious winning move.
Here I played Bg2? but I should just play Qh6!
For some reason I had missed ...Qxh6 Bxh6 ...Nxc3 a3! Which is game over.
In the end I lost πŸ˜” after Johann played excellently.
