Magnus Carlsen talks to Kaja Snare, GM David Howell, and IM Jovanka Houska about the first day of quarter finals in the New in Chess Classic, the 5th event on the $1.5 million Meltwater
Champions Chess Tour! Magnus comments on the 4 draws against Teimour Radjabov in a single day on the tour.
This was always going to be a tough match, and it remains level. Teimour Radjabov dictated much of the play, with Magnus having to escape a lost position in Game 2. Magnus says, “I was just completely way off today. I think this is the first time I made 4 draws in a day.” Ultimately, however, he is satisfied with the result: “I feel like I dodged one today.”
