Arjun Erigaisi has a tough job of playing at the Champions Chess Tour as he has to begin at 1.30 a.m. and the games go on until 5.30 a.m. The youngster however, is amazingly tenacious. He is fighting his heart out and beat Mamedyarov with a score of 3-1 in round 4 of the event.
It is said that Human beings cannot play well when they are playing so late. There is a concept called Circadian Rhythm. It’s a natural, internal process that regulates the sleep–wake cycle and repeats roughly every 24 hours. What we are witnessing is Arjun slowly and steadily escaping his Circadian Cycle! 🙂
