Very few doubt Arjun Erigaisi’s ability to calculate accurately. In fact Vishy Anand himself had praised the youngster for being able to spot those final moves in long lines of calculation that help him outwit his opponents. To show this trait in action we have the 9th round game from the MPL 58th National Championships 2022. Arjun is playing with the black pieces against the talented youngster IM Pranav V. There is just one move to win the game and it looks like a complete mess! It might be chaos for others, but Arjun in his meditative state finds some amazing moves to down his opponent and move to sole lead at the event with 7.5/9. IM Sagar Shah brings you the commentary.
