22-4! (No, It’s Not an American Football Score) -Carlsen vs Caruana, Speed Chess Championship 2022

The 2022 chess.com Speed Chess Championship will take place from the 8th to the 16th of December on chess.com as a 16-player knockout tournament. After a drawn-out qualification process, the 16 finalists of the sixth SCC edition will be brawling over the $100,000 prize pool. The field was dubbed “the strongest to date,” featuring world #1 Magnus Carlsen and 4-time SCC winner Hikaru Nakamura, among many of the world elite.

Time Control

(4/4) On another note I could do with some tips on how to get a good sleep. It seems like I am a fully fledged insomniac. 😵‍💫
I was in bed at 1am last night but didn't even manage to get 1 minutes sleep after tossing and turning all night. Been awake for about 40 hours now. 😱

(3/4) I missed one very likely obvious winning move.
Here I played Bg2? but I should just play Qh6!
For some reason I had missed ...Qxh6 Bxh6 ...Nxc3 a3! Which is game over.
In the end I lost 😔 after Johann played excellently.
