GM Levon Aronian is not only a world-class player but also a great ambassador of the game of chess. In the third round of the FIDE Grand Swiss 2023, he was up against the Uzbek super-talent and Olympiad Gold medalist GM Javokhir Sindarov. In the game, Levon blundered 47.Kf4 which gave the youngster the chance to convert the game and score the biggest win of his career. After the game, Levon shook Javokhir’s hands with a smile to resign and also showed what he had missed.
It was a great gesture from Levon and a lot of encouragement for the young players to look forward to such discussions after the game.
