ChessBase India viewers are not new to the name of Ilamparthi. He has been a part of so many livestreams, commentary sessions and was also the part of the 57th episode of improving chess where over Rs. 5 lakh were raised in a few hours. The July YouTube memberships fund of Rs.1,20,000 was set up for Ilamparthi for his tournaments! It was after a long gap that Ilamparthi got to play an over-the-board tournament. And the boy did wonderfully well scoring 6.5/11 and gaining 117 Elo points. Aditya Roy interviewed this youngster, who travelled along with his 14-year-old friend from Chennai to Lucknow and then a bus ride to Kanpur! The brave duo made it on their own! Ilamparthi also shows us a glimpse of his win over GM Vishnu Prasanna.
